127. The Master Debaters
Monday Jul 01, 2024
Monday Jul 01, 2024
This week we were forced against our will to discuss the recent CNN debate between sitting US President Joe Biden and former US President Donald Trump. It was something, huh folks? We also discuss the (potentially fraudulent?) right wing coup attempt in Bolivia which occurred over the weekend. Enjoy!
If you are willing and able, we would greatly appreciate any donations to our Patreon, which helps us sustain the podcast in these trying times. You can find us here, if you're interested:

Saturday Jun 22, 2024
Saturday Jun 22, 2024
In today's episode, we sat down to discuss a botched assassination in the UK between rival boutique clothiers, how much Elden Ring we've been playing, condiments and which ones we enjoy, the floundering Biden campaigns attempts to woo celebs, and some other small items.

125. The Congo Free State II: The Nightmare Begins
Tuesday Jun 11, 2024
Tuesday Jun 11, 2024
This week we return to the Congo River Basin of the late 19th Century to discuss the establishment of the Congo Free State by Leopold II, King of the Belgians. Part one of this series, episode 118 of Left Unread, laid the groundwork for Leopold's machinations, and this week we start to see his plans take shape as a swathe of brutal violence engulfs the Congo region, and European profits begin to soar. Content Warning: This episode contains frank discussion of pretty brutal violence, racism, and colonialism.

That's it, folks. He's going to jail. He's finished. Joseph Robinette Biden has accomplished a masterstroke and the bad man is going to prison for life :)
OR
That's it, folks. This is the final outrage. Our glorious martyr has mirrored Christ in his unjust persecution. Victory is assured. America will be great again :)
Idk man, pick one. We got potty humor to do.

123. Ronnie James Dio
Tuesday May 21, 2024
Tuesday May 21, 2024
The episode isn't really about RJD. We just love him. We talked about him a little, though. We also discussed accused English serial killer Lucy Letby and the scandalous recent New Yorker article which highlights inconsistencies with her case, updates on the ongoing genocide in Palestine, American supremacy in the world of heavy music, Evan's inconsiderate upstairs neighbors, and much MUCH more!

Now, at last, the entire story is here, with remixed audio, a blisteringly heroic soundtrack, and the...interesting conclusion of the epic tale, newly recorded for your listening pleasure! 119. Ippei for Play
Saturday Apr 20, 2024
Saturday Apr 20, 2024
Today, we sat down to discuss the Ippei Mizuraha and Shohei Ohtani sports betting story even further. With the release of the 37 page criminal complaint by IRS agent Chris Seymour, there is a lot to dig in to talk about. We also get into the sports betting scandal in the NBA that saw a lifetime ban handed down to Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter for his own meager-in-comparison sports betting scandal.

118. The Congo Free State I: King Leopold's Dream
Tuesday Apr 09, 2024
Tuesday Apr 09, 2024
This week, in part one of a new series, we discuss one of the greatest cons ever perpetrated in the modern age: The 19th century formation of the Congo ‘Free’ State under King Leopold of the Belgians. While in Europe Leopold was lauded as a progressive, modernist monarch, his legacy in Central Africa is one of brutality, suffering, and the wanton slaughter of millions; all in the singular pursuit of profit and financial gain. Buckle up, buckaroos. We’re in for a rough one.
